HYALGAN® is a solution that contains a natural substance called hyaluronate. This substance is normally found in the fluid that lubricates and cushions the knee joint. HYALGAN® is indicated for patients with osteoarthritis knee pain who do not obtain adequate relief from simple painkillers,
(Tylenol® or Advil®), or from exercise and physical therapy.

Hyalgan should be administered into the synovial space of the knee. The treatment consists of a three to five injection series that is meant to be administered at weekly interviews so that the patients will be able to experience osteoarthritis relief that will last for up to six months.
